Customs CG Tasks Officers On Commitment

The Comptroller General of Customs, Col Hameed Ali (Rtd), has called on officers of the service to demonstrate skills, commitment and hard work in the discharge of their duties with a view to engendering national development that the agency is poised to drive.

He made the call at the weekend when the Nigeria Customs and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja, held a combined graduation ceremony for Senior Course 5 and Junior Course 11.


Daily Trust on Sunday reports that the crux of the programme included academic, physical and mental training in which a total of 78 students graduated. Out of the number, 38 graduated in Senior Course 5, while 40 finished in Junior Course 11.

Col Ali urged the graduating students to demonstrate the skills they had been equipped with in various areas of their responsibilities with a view to discharging their duties meritoriously for national development.

He expressed delight that the training programme had improved significantly with an assurance that it would go a long way in achieving its objectives of increased skills development and service.

Ali also disclosed that the service was poised to introduce e-customs soon as an innovative tool for the service to perform its duties more efficiently.
