Female Weightlifter, Adijat Olarinoye Won Nigeria's First Gold Medal In Weightlifting During The 2022 Commonwealth Games

Adijat Olarinoye, Female weightlifter has won Nigeria's first gold medal in the just concluded 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham. She emerged victoriously after defeating others in the ladies' 55kg categories on Saturday, July 30.

Adijat Olarinoye lifted 92kg in grab and 111kg in quick lift, making 203kg altogether to establish another Games record in the classification.

India's Bindyarani Sorokhaibam set second while Fraer Morrow of England completed third.

Remember that Olarinoye won three gold medals at the 2019 Africa Games three gold awards medalist and furthermore won Nigeria's second gold medal at the 2021 International Weightlifting Federation World Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
