Kano Police Has Arrested One Sadiq Ismail, 18, For Stealing Plasma TV Sets Worth N1.2 Million And Sold Them For N350,000

The Kano State Police Command has captured a suspect, Sadiq Isma'il,18, for robbery and burglary and recuperated eleven stolen Plasma TV sets.



The police spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa Haruna, who revealed this in a statement, said descreet investigations prompted the capture and arrest of the collector of the stolen items, Abdullahi Muktar.


As indicated by the PPRO, the chief suspect, Isma'il, broke into a shop at Sharada Quarters and carried off the sixteen Plasma TV sets worth N1.2m.

The suspect admitted that he sold all the taken TV sets for N350,000 and use the money to sleep with girls in a nearby hotel.



"On 22/06/2022 at around 0800hrs, a report was gotten from an inhabitant of Sharada Quarters Kano that, on a similar date, he went to his shop situated at Sharada Quarters Kano, and found that obscure hoodlum(s) broke the window of his shop and took sixteen (16) Plasma TV (32 inches each) esteemed One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,200,000:00), at Seventy Five Thousand Naira (N75,000:00) each," he expressed.


"On receipt of the objection, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama'ila Shu'aibu Dikko, fsi raised and taught a group of Detectives drove by SP Abdulrahim Adamu, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Sharada Division to follow and capture the perpetrator(s). The group quickly got the ball rolling.




"Supported knowledge drove follow-up brought about the capture of the chief suspect, Sadiq Isma'il, 'm', 18 years of age, of Rijiyar Lemo Quarters Kano, at a Hotel in Nassarawa LGA, Kano State where he stopped. On starter examination, the suspect admitted that he independently went to the shop around 2300hrs of 21/06/2022, split the window and carried off the sixteen (16) Plasma TVs


"He further admitted that he sold all the sixteen(16) Plasma TVs at Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N350,000:00), at Twenty One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira (N21,875:00) every, where he utilized piece of the cash to hold up in an inn with his sweetheart.


"Circumspect examination prompted the capture of the collector, one Abdullahi Muktar, 'm', 20 years of age of Gama Quarters Kano at a similar lodging with the chief suspect. He prompted the recuperation of eleven (11) of the taken Plasma TVs from the Kano and Bauchi States."


The Commissioner of Police coordinated for advance watchful examination, after which the suspects will be charged to court for arraignment.


He praised the work of the Police Officers that took part in the investigation and further emphasizes that lawbreakers will have no concealing spot in Kano State.
